this is so true, reminds me of king David in the Bible, it was his humility that made him stand out as a great king, no wonder God called him a man after his heart.
it sure pays 2 b humble.
That is soo true. There is so much we can learn from even the humblest of people if we overlook the way they look, behave, and other such "socailly" accepted ideals.
a very very ture statement. a reality check :)
this is sooo very true trail lady .. perfect quote and more importantly a true quote .. as I have come across it many times :)
Good comments everyone!! This is a very wise statement, indeed.
I've learned that humility can either be false & external, or it can be an inner change that leads to a whole different approach to life. Having tried the frumpy-dumpy-n-strict form of humility and being more prideful than ever, I'm setting my focus on inner change. It is good for us to be genuine & simple.
Scripture says "God resists the proud but draws near to the humble." This is good to know!!
Certainly a good quote to ponder and live by.
So very true!!
Hope u doing fine there.
Takecare.
Jesus said that the one that wants to be the greatest of all needs to be the servant of all.
Not many people want the servant part, just the greatness.
very true...What makes humility so desirable is the marvelous thing it does to us; it creates in us a capacity for the closest possible intimacy with God.
I don't know who the quote was from... but it was at least PROFOUND! Thanks! ~ jb///
