As Links in a Great Chain...

"We are not free, separate and independent entities, we are like links in a chain and could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way." - Thomas Mann
This is so true! Who I am today is based on many factors. My parents influence and that of teachers, friends and historical lessons. I have been shaped by heroes, prophets and gifted men: Ghandi, Martin Luther, Mother Theresa, Mohammad, Joan of Arc, etc. Most of all, my heart has been influenced by Jesus the Christ. As we remember His great sacrifice, may we be thankful that He was willing to die in order to give us a better destiny than sin and death. I am grateful that He took the punishment I deserve, so that someday in Paradise I will share in the reward He deserved. We were first created, then redeemed. Someday we will be restored. What an AWESOME God!!
The Almighty doesn't view men by the color of their skin, by gender or social status, but by the merits of the heart. In His great mercy He chooses to forgive us and forget our sins. We are all connected and influence each other. Choices made on one side of the world, like ripples on the water, affect those on the other side of the globe. We need wisdom, hope and healing SO desperately!
God, live in me for I hope to be a strong link in the chain of human history. I want to live honorably. I desire for my legacy to be one of love, respect and goodwill toward all people...
Have A Blessed Easter as We Reflect on the Love and Mercy of God

Time and space are create by thought (nobody knows if they really exist)and so are the links; in fact, you create your own world which is made of "points of views" or thoughts.
if you'll find the Promised Land, which is a part of you, you'll see what is the reality of those things: most of those links are chains that you've covered yourself with (even if you find those chains almost nice).
the way to the Promised Land and to resurrection is a way inside you, not anywhere. resurrection means dying at the thought of yourself the mental built and in which you are believing.
the only question is "who am I?"; let's say that all the things are showing that I'm not this body and I'm not these thoughts and they're not mine....but the mental doesn't want to accept that because that means destroying the world it builds .
here stands the main problem for evreyone. give consciousness the power instead of being oppressed by the mental.

enjoy your esater time!

Interesting thoughts GMC. I have never heard that before.

Nabeel, it is really okay if you don't agree with me. I believe that people can be friends- even if they don't think exactly the same things. :o) There is one God and that is where you and I agree. We understand Him differently, but I believe He is the same God and you are my brother. We are all connected and impact each other whether we choose to see it or not...

yes trailady there will be different opinions and mutually understanding with not changing your roots is a better step :)

Happy easter to all, and I hope this day finds you well ( a little late I know ).
I read that we are connected to everybody else in the world by 5 or fewer people, wich means we can quantifiably affect the whole world by our actions.
On a whole different level I have studied both Hindi beliefs and Buhddahism, in trying to apply the exact actions gmc is talking about I have found life to be a much better place.

dear,
it's written in your book as it is in hinduism, buddhism, islam, and in all the spiritual knowledge of each religion. however, in christianity the message was trapped by all these churches involved in temporal stuff: can you seriously believe that moses and his guys spent 40 years just to cross the 150 miles of the sinai desert, they were as you are, not different and certainly not so stupid?
let's have just an example:
you were born abraham (sorry if the spelling is not the same in english), with your servant agar (egyptian, symbol of the corruption and the wealth of a presumed outside world created by the mental)you created a son, ismael.
you are ismael (called elsewhere ego), an "onagre" to the eye of his brothers ("onagre" is a fruitless animal).
if you find sara (who's your real feminine part, a virgin continent inside of you), with God's blessing you will create isaac who's the accomplished Man, the Son of Man.
after that, you abraham will sacrifice you isaac to god and god will put a ram (symbol of pride) instead of taking isaac's life.

that is the way explained everywhere in the world in all religions and all ancient myths.

consider genesis as the creation of the human being and not the creation of an hypothetic outside world (adam and eve are not man and woman, but male part and female part of you, the serpent (the most intelligent animal) is the mental).

sorry, i make a mistake, i didn't want to say that you were more stupid than moses but i wanted to say that moses was certainly not so stupid to lost 40 years just to cross the sinai desert.

We are individuals yet individuals who come from community and need community. We need to remember, value, and grow our links with one another to become what God intends for us.
