Many in 'the church' do write off the artists, etc. in our midst or try to define what art should be like - and we certainly do not seek to hear from someone like Mr. Zimmerman! But the artist, whether secular or sacred, does have much to say if we have ears to hear!
T-Bone Burnett said some are comfortable writing about the light - others are more comfortable writing about what the light reveals. I have always been drawn to the latter for some reason.
