If money can buy everything, why doesn't Donald Trump have better hair??
You can't have everything. After all, where would you put it??
You can own money up to a certain point, beyond that, your money begins to own you.
What good is a big house and a big yard, if you're never there because you're working too hard?

how true!:)
That's why I'm no longer as ambitious professionally as I used to be. When I was asked in a job interview awhile ago the following question, "What is your ideal job?" my answer was: "To work hard and to play hard, have a job in which I can maintain a work/life balance."
I got the job.
(Although I'm sure my professional qualifications for the role helped, too.)
It was in the year 1999, all my friends landed up with lucrative IT jobs in the US, I could'nt resist peer pressure and was in two minds on whether to follow them. I even took up an interview from some consulting company in the east coast and was offered 65k. I thought hard about it but decided to stay back at home and I don't regret the decision. My friends have earned lots, bought big cars but I've had a good time with my family around. I cherish all those good things I've been able to do with my family and can't think of missing them if I were to have chosen to take up the job in the US. I dont have a big money, or a dollar bank balance or a big car, but i'm content with what i have and share with my near and dear . I'm glad I made the right decision.
Good thoughts everyone! :o)
Hi there dear.
I am sorry that I had to delete that post about Carrie and Deborah from TV and also deleted your comment, because it was good and valid.
I had to remove it. I got overcome by anger. Please forgive me if I hurt you in any way.
Blogging is so fun. Love to meet all these people.
Dear Chez - congratulations! You did make the right choice.
P.S. trailady. I also got all maniacal because I've never had a computer of my own along with internet before and never knew how easy it is to drag pictures from all over the net - and was just getting goofy doing that, not thinking about my words - ouch.
No Worries Gabrielle!! We are all learning... :o)
I think Mr Trump wears a tupay. (Not sure if I spelled that right)
If you read a lot read Razors Edge by Summerset Maugham. It is a true story about a wealthy man who volonteers to drive an ambulance in WWI./ When he comes home he is completely devestated. He realizes all his families money means
nothing, after all it can't stop his nightmares.
He goes in search of a happy mind, abandoning all his worldy posessions. The cool thing is it is real.
Sounds like an interesting book! Thanks for the recomendation, Royce.
